About us

Thirty-three years in the same part of the process

We started out distributing tooling for rotary presses in the label industry. Today we design, manufacture and repair it ourselves. In between lie three decades of learning where die-cutting goes wrong.

Our history

What has happened since then

None of these dates is decorative: each one changed what we could offer.

  1. 1993

    Tecnocut is founded

With a specific goal: to become the leading distributor in Spain of tooling for rotary presses in the label industry.

  2. 2008

    The R&D department is created

The step from selling what exists to developing what is missing. From here on, the catalogue stops depending on third parties and starts growing with our own products.

  3. 2015

    The second generation joins

And with it, the decision to go abroad. This is when Tecnocut stops being a Spanish company with customers and starts building a network of partners.

  4. 2018

    New facilities in Barcelona

3,000 m² with engineering, workshop and offices under one roof. It is what makes it possible to manufacture what no catalogue offers: the person who designs and the person who machines work ten metres apart.

  5. 2019

Innovative SME seal and CDTI funding

The Spanish Government recognises our own product development. It is not decoration: it is external proof that the R&D begun in 2008 paid off.

  6. 2021

Six new products and the Service area is born

Technical service becomes an area in its own right, not an add-on to sales.

  7. 2022

    Maintenance and repair centre

A workshop dedicated to bringing tooling and machinery already in production back to life, whether it is ours or not.

  8. Hoy

    Still where we started

In die-cutting, from start to finish: the tool that cuts, the station that die-cuts and the finishing that comes after.

Why it matters

What changes when the company is family-owned

It is not a sentimental label. It has concrete consequences for anyone who buys from us.

01

Your contact doesn’t change

The person who opens a project is the one who closes it. No investor cycles, no change of course every three years and no explaining your press all over again to someone new.

02

We make our own decisions

Family capital means an unusual request doesn’t have to go through a committee. If it can be done technically, we look into it.

03

We answer for what we deliver

Engineering, machining and assembly are ours. When something doesn’t work, there is no one else to point at: we fix it.

04

We think in years, not quarters

A well-made cylinder lasts more than a decade. We sell with that in mind, and that is why we repair rather than push you to replace.

Our commitment is to deliver intelligent, truly innovative solutions that optimise our customers’ production processes day after day.
In-house R&D

We don’t distribute what others invent

The Innovation and Development department was set up in 2008, and since then the catalogue has no longer depended on third parties. Here is a sample of what has come out of it: equipment designed from scratch to solve a specific problem on a converting line.

Recognition

Accredited innovation

In 2019 the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation awarded us the Innovative SME seal (PYME Innovadora), and the CDTI funded the development of new products. Both recognise the same thing: that here we research and develop, not just sell.

Innovative SME seal (PYME Innovadora) from the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, valid until 22 November 2027
