Controlling the cutting pressure is essential in any die-cutting job: both for optimum quality and to keep cylinders and plates in good condition. The bridge distributes that pressure and holds the gauges that apply it.

01 It ensures the cutting pressure is applied evenly and consistently across the whole width.
02 On some presses it can be fitted with a pneumatic pressure system instead of manual adjustment.

Where it’s mounted

On the station, above the tooling

The bridge is fitted to the die-cutting station and closes the assembly from above. The gauges mounted on it are what apply the pressure, and the bridge makes sure it reaches both ends of the cylinder equally.
