Print sleeves

The lightest, most rigid and most stable sleeves for flexo

For printing all kinds of materials, on both wide-web and narrow-web presses.

What sets them apart

They stand up to daily work

01

Sealed

The seal stops solvent and ink from getting in, which is what finishes off most sleeves.

02

Impact-resistant

They absorb frontal impacts, so they don’t get damaged prematurely when mounting and dismounting.

03

Guided mounting

Reinforced register notches in any wall thickness and an integrated cutting guide that makes positioning easier.

± 0,020 mm Diameter tolerance
< 0,020 mm Runout measured on the cylinder
240 - 1.500 mm Repeat

Wall thickness from 0.9 to 195 mm · maximum length 1,800 mm · working temperature up to 80 °C · they mount on an air cylinder with 6 bar and 12 litres per second

How it is built

Layer by layer, as the press requires

The sleeve is built on a glass fibre base and closed with a polished 5 mm outer layer, the one that takes the plate. What changes from one to the other is the number of layers, and with it the stiffness.

Section of a standard print sleeve, with its five layers

Standard

Five layers

Glass fibre base, compressible layer, high-performance foam, glass fibre reinforcement and outer layer. Light, for everyday work.

Section of a reinforced print sleeve, with its seven layers

Reinforced

Seven layers

It adds a second foam and a second glass fibre reinforcement: more stiffness, conductive properties and less bounce at high speed.

The edge

The notch and the ends, where it takes the punishment

The register notch has stainless steel embedded in a rigid composite: it holds the sleeve in place under pressure and speed, and protects the positioning pins of the press.

  • Rubber ends integrated into the sleeve, resistant to solvents and moisture, which prevent metal-to-metal contact.
  • Seven colours to identify each sleeve at a glance, in the store and on the press.
  • Also available without ends, for presses that do not need them.

Automated mounting

Ready for robotic mounting

Every sleeve comes with a zero axial register line, and the diameter tolerance is ±0.020 mm. That repeatability is what lets the plate be mounted always in the same position, also when an automated system mounts it.

On request, additional axial or radial lines and register slots on one or both sides.

Two constructions

Carbon fibre or aluminium

Carbon fibre

With BS pneumatic technology. The mounting layer optimises vibration damping and the honeycomb structure provides rigidity without weight.

Aluminium print sleeve

Aluminium

The lightweight-body alternative, for easy, fast and high-precision mounting.
