Cylinder gauge

Check your dies’ tolerance easily

A checking tool that measures the clearance, the gap, of die-cutting cylinders. It lets you detect in time which cylinder needs repair or replacement, before the defect shows up in the material.

  • 01 Checks and detects the cylinders that need repair or replacement.
  • 02 A robust clamping system built into the dial indicator makes it possible to measure the bearers on both sides.
  • 03 It shows whether the cylinder is die-cutting correctly, without cutting too deep or too shallow.

How to read the results

Precision is a guarantee of quality

Within tolerance

  • The cylinder is considered to be in good condition with a tolerance of ±3 microns relative to its theoretical dimensions.

Out of tolerance

  • How results outside those figures are interpreted depends on several factors and on the type of job. Our technical service helps you decide whether to repair or replace.

Advantages

Why measure before mounting

Constant maintenance

Measure your cylinders’ tolerance very easily whenever you need to.

Easy positioning

It has a built-in robust clamping system that measures the cylinders on both sides.

Easy operation

Any operator can use it and interpret its results, without technical knowledge.

Saves costs

Not checking that the cylinder works correctly can lead to productivity losses.

Where the gauge fits in

It is part of the cylinder control and maintenance range, together with the rest of the equipment mounted on the die-cutting station.

Are your cylinders within tolerance?

We will send you the gauge and explain how to interpret the reading on your own press.
